George, Vince and their loving dog Callum downsized from their 4 bed home of 37 years in Bracknell, moving to Pine Copse Park in nearby Crowthorne using Quickmove’s Property Part-Exchange service.
Vince explained how their move came about:
“We decided that moving to a single-level dwelling would be easier. George had just turned 91 and the stair lift he used was proving to be a pain. If he was upstairs and somebody was at the door, it took several minutes to get down the stairs, by which time he was losing his cool, and whoever was on the doorbell might have walked away.
We started looking around and found this place. A Quickmove advert also popped up on Facebook and I thought OK, this sounds interesting. Let’s see where it goes.”
Having found the perfect park and home, Vince and George approached Quickmove for a Part exchange valuation on their existing property of 37 years. Vince told us why the offer was acceptable:
Taking into account out the savings on estate agent fees and solicitors, the offer from Quickmove to buy our house was not too far out so we decided to go ahead. Vince and George are still sorting their belongings but very much settling into park life.
“It’s so safe and peaceful here. The owner lives on site and he takes great care over who’s here. The site itself is secure, with the gates usually closed.
Callum enjoys being taken for long walks in the nearby forest. The park owner is excellent and every day his team carries out maintenance on the park grounds, sweeping and gardening.
I would recommend Quickmove to anyone. For the ease of the move, less stress and less hassle. Certainly the two week cross-over period where you have access to both properties was a godsend, especially as clearing our old house took longer than expected.”
