We met Eric and Karen Milsom in early Spring, following their pre-Christmas move from London to a new RoyaleLife park bungalow at Solent Grange in Milford-on-Sea, Hampshire. When the sale of their own home started to fall through, part-exchange specialists Quickmove Properties stepped in…
‘I’d never really considered living in a park home’ Eric explained, ‘but when we visited Solent Grange we loved it and after choosing a plot we put our own home on the market. We accepted an offer quite soon after, but while on holiday in Spain we received a panicked phone call from the estate agent and returned to a minefield of stress and pressure, as the buyer could not get a mortgage. We said “this buyer won’t stop us getting our dream” so we then started looking at other options.’
It was then that park operators RoyaleLife recommended part exchange specialists Quickmove Properties, who offered to buy the Milsom’s property. ‘It was such a relief – within 10 days of accepting the offer we completed on the sale of our house. And we didn’t have to move out straight away. Its logistically impossible to move house in one day so the extra grace period given by Quickmove to move out was a real plus.

‘From our decking we can see the Solent, the Isle of Wight and look at this countryside. The beach is 5 minutes away, the nature reserve is popular with birdwatchers and there’s plenty country walks to choose from. The village is a 5 minutes drive and it has everything you need including doctors, shops, restaurants and bus services to larger towns like Portsmouth and Bournemouth. We’re already feeling part of a growing community where everyone looks out for each other.’
